This Future Positive New Year’s celebration is brought to you by two amazing all volunteer non-profit groups that have been partnering for several years and are celebrating together. The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space is celebrating its 6th anniversary. Time’s Up environmental organization, which has made so many sustainable positive changes in NYC, is celebrating its 31st year. Check out their timeline 25th Anniversary timeline.
The New Year’s Eve bash will be held at the museum in the legendary C-Squat, which is located at 155 Avenue C, LES, NYC. Multimedia presentations by East Village activist/artists including Fly, Seth Tobocman and Eric Drooker. Live music by Banji and the Rude Mechanical Orchestra. So put on your best dancing shoes and join us for this Future Positive start to 2019.
If you would like to you can join one of our free feeder New Year’s Eve bike rides, equipped with the latest sound bike technology. The bike rides will start at 9:30pm, New Year’s Eve:
•9:30 PM Start at the park in front of the Plaza Hotel, 59th St and 5th Ave, Manhattan
•9:30 PM in Brooklyn, meet at the Brooklyn-side entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge, to ride into Manhattan
•10 PM feeder pickup at Madison Square Park, 23rd & Broadway, Flatiron Side
THIS YEAR THE BIKE RIDE IS REVERSING DIRECTION. IT IS GOING DOWNTOWN INSTEAD OF UPTOWN, ENDING UP AT AN INDOOR DANCE PARTY! Both rides will end up at TIME’S UP’s Musical After-Party at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space. After-party will include free valet bike parking.
